Is the "False 9" dead in modern football?

I've been watching the Champions League matches lately and it feels like every top team has gone back to a traditional, physical #9. Haaland at City, Kane at Bayern, even Lewandowski is still bossing it.

Remember when Barcelona and Spain won everything without a striker? Those days feel like a lifetime ago. Is it just a tactical cycle, or has the high-press era made the False 9 too easy to defend against?

Curious to hear what you guys think about the tactical shift!
